Terms of Service — Lettover

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, and using Lettover (the "Game" or "Service"), you ("you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Game.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Game after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility & Account

2.1 Age

Lettover is not directed at children under 13, and account creation does not collect a birthdate or age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, contact support@lettover.app or privacy@lettover.app and we will delete it.

2.2 Creating an account

You may play entirely anonymously, or create an account via email + password, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or Facebook Login.

Account, or at https://lettover.app/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and permanent for your own profile, stats, friends list, purchase ledger, and sign-in credentials. Shared game records that also belong to an opponent's own history are not removed by your deletion — see the Privacy Policy §11 for exactly what is deleted and what persists.

2.3 Username & profile

Your display name/nickname and profile (avatar, stats, league rank) are visible to opponents during multiplayer games and in league standings.

3. Permitted Use & Restrictions

3.1 License grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Fair play

Lettover is built on fair, competitive play.

glitches for impossible scores; collusion to manipulate league standings; creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage; using third-party tools to modify game state or determine word validity ahead of time.

4. Virtual Currency, Purchases & Cosmetics

4.1 Coins

Coins are virtual currency with no cash value, earned through in-game activity such as the daily challenge, a daily login streak, watching rewarded ads (capped per day), referring a friend, league-season placement rewards, and one-time achievements. Current coin amounts for each source are shown in the app and may change over time; this document does not fix exact figures because they are tuned as part of game balance. Winning an individual game does not by itself grant coins.

4.2 Cosmetics

Profile frames and tile themes are purely cosmetic (no gameplay advantage). Some are purchasable with coins; others are included in a one-time purchase (see §4.3). Cosmetics do not expire, cannot be transferred or resold, and are forfeited without refund if you delete your account.

4.3 One-time purchases (non-subscription)

We offer optional, one-time (non-subscription) in-app purchases, which may include: removing interstitial ads, unlocking the friends list feature, a live score-preview tool, a letter tracker tool, additional simultaneous-game capacity, and cosmetic frame/theme packs. Exact products, contents, and current pricing are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may change; this document does not fix prices.

4.4 Payment & receipts

All payments are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store — we never receive or store your card details. Your purchase receipt is issued by Google/Apple, governed by their payment terms.

support@lettover.app for game-related purchase issues (e.g. an entitlement not applied after a successful purchase).

4.5 Refunds

Coins, cosmetics, and one-time entitlement purchases are generally non-refundable once granted, except where a purchase was not delivered due to a verifiable server/technical error — contact support@lettover.app with your purchase receipt and we will investigate. Refund requests for the purchase price itself are handled by Apple/Google under their own refund policies.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Game is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, that data will never be lost, or that our word lists or rankings are free of error.

To the maximum extent permitted by Turkish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of coins, cosmetics, or progress arising from account termination for Terms violations. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory Turkish consumer-protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.

6. In-Game Chat

In-game chat is currently limited to a fixed set of preset, friendly phrases (quick chat) — there is no free-text chat. Because of this, we do not run a profanity filter or an in-app report/moderation system at this time; there is simply no free text to moderate. We may add free-text chat, reporting, or moderation tools in the future, in which case we will update this section and the Privacy Policy accordingly.

We may still suspend or terminate an account for abusive use of the quick-chat feature or any other conduct that violates §3.2.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or if your account is flagged for fraud. Termination is permanent: your profile, stats, friends list, purchase ledger, and sign-in credentials are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy §11 (shared game records visible to an opponent are not removed). If you believe a suspension or termination was made in error, email support@lettover.app with your username and an explanation; we review appeals but decisions are final.

8. Third-Party Services

The Game integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy: Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, and backend logic; Google AdMob for advertising; Expo for push notification delivery; Apple App Store and Google Play for sign-in and purchases; Meta/Facebook Login as an optional sign-in method. See the Privacy Policy §5 for links to each provider's privacy policy. We are not responsible for their conduct.

9. Service Availability

The Game's backend runs on Google Firebase (europe-west1 region). We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime; the Game may be briefly unavailable during maintenance or due to third-party outages.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Game, the courts and enforcement offices of Bursa, Türkiye (Bursa Mahkemeleri ve İcra Daireleri) have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence, which remain unaffected.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or from conduct of yours that harms another player or infringes a third party's rights, except where the claim results solely from our own fault.

12. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Game.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes are communicated via an in-app notice; minor changes (e.g. contact details) take effect immediately. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, you may delete your account at no penalty.
